I don't have any words of wisdom, but I am reading. I also have a hard time knowing how to express emotions (lots of kinds of emotions). Have you ever tried drumming? I don't know if that would be helpful or not, but I am interested in drumming lately and I wonder if it could be a healthy way of expressing things.

I read it, the whole thing from beginning to end. I'm a survivor myself of both covert and overt incest.

I can see how you'd have issues come up right now and I think they're valid issues. I'm trying to think of a blogger that I might be able to refer you to that might be able to give you some words of wisdom or lend a listening ear. I'll have to think about it. Perhaps you could do a google blog search on PTSD and pregnancy and see what you find?

I feel like maybe my comment was confusing. I meant that the hyper-religious way these kids were raised is what made them dysfunctional (not that the homeschooling did that).

And when I said this: "The other homeschooled kids I’ve known have been more outgoing..."

I meant they were more outgoing, etc. compared to most kids who go to schools.

I hope that makes more sense! :)

It is a melancholy thought...but hopefully you will meet more and more friends who are more supportive.

I have known a lot of homeschooled kids, but most of them were homeschooled in hyper-religious ways. That warped them, but it had nothing to do with the homeschooling. The other homeschooled kids I've known have been more outgoing (more likely to speak up with adults around), more interested in reading and learning, and just nice kids.

I feel very confident that they way you 'school' your kids will be nurturing and empowering.

That's a neat picture. I like the blue-green color in the upper-right.

I bet it will be very exciting to see the ultrasound images! Just seeing what's going on in there will probably be amazing. (If you do find out the sex, that doesn't mean you have to share it with anybody if you don't want to.)
